The Don Souma dancers are from Burkina Faso and dance with a contemporary African style. Through 

surpassing the pleonasm and escaping from predefined boxes, they join together multiple influences and combine afro-contemporary, traditional, hip hop and even classical dance styles to inspire creative dance performances. 

The Don Souma Company began in 2016 and has facilitated the meeting of a multicultural and multidisciplinary team with a common objective – the promotion of dance.

Through Don Souma's unique storytelling style and ability to transcend cultures, they are uniquely poised 

to use their skills for positive social change. To this end, Don Souma is collaborating with, and supporting, 

Sini Yiri an association which promotes cultural diversity and awareness for differences for children of 

variousages through dance. Don Souma  organises dance workshops for groups of children where variouscultures (Japanese, Burkinabe, Albanian, Portuguese, etc.) are represented. The dancers/choreographers 

share their knowledge and skills and children have the pleasure of learning about this beautiful art.
