Aziz Ouedrago
Aziz and Saibou, professional dancers, originally met in Burkina Faso but it was in Geneva that they reinforced their work together. Their creative approach is very similar to their daily life, guided by curiosity for novelty and openness towards others.
Aziz Ouedrago was born in 1983 in Burkina Faso. Dancer, actor and storyteller, he has worked for several years on multidisciplinary projects in Switzerland and France. In 2015 he performed in the theatrical production Eldorado directed by Patrick Mohhr at the Théâtre du Loup in Geneva, and then on tour around France and Romandy. The year before he starred in Africa Paroles de Griots, a musical theatre performance by the Musica Cultura company in Divonne. In Burkina Faso he is a member of the musical group SIRABA (composer and interpreter) and of the theatrical group BADENYA which has won several cultural prizes in West Africa. Aziz is the co-founder of the Sini-Yiri Association in Bobo-Dioulasso, which gives children the chance to join together to discover dance, music, theatre and storytelling. He prepares and leads workshops around discovering art and culture within the associative and socio-medical framework in Geneva, with a large public of all ages, from the very young to seniors.
